Must just be a lucky coincidence...for somebody
This business is organized into several different divisions, and that makes competition for IT resources unavoidable, reports a pilot fish on the inside.
"The divisions -- let's call them Division 1, Division 2, Division 3 and Division 4 -- each have different projects, and every Division thinks its project is the most important," fish says.
"Because there are never sufficient resources for IT to do all those projects at the same time, management creates a Resource Office. The Resource Office's job is to look at the projects from each division and prioritize them.
"But for some reason that nobody seems able to explain, the Resource Office is placed subordinate to Division 2.
