Cyprus participates in global ‘Endomarch’ movement
The 2024 Endomarch Cyprus campaign, aiming to raise awareness about endometriosis, kicked off at Limassol’s Anemi Bistro on March 9, 2024, in an event filled with hope.
Participating once again in the “Worldwide Endomarch Awareness Chain”, Anemi Bistro contributed to the collective effort to raise awareness about the gynecological condition that affects millions of women, across their years of adolescence, reproduction and maturity.
At the event, Endomarch Cyprus president, gynaecologist and obstetrician Dr Andreas Stavroulis, enlightened attendees about the causes, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis, a condition affecting one in 10 women in Cyprus.
Stressing its unpredictable nature, Dr Stavroulis noted that symptoms of endometriosis, which afflicts 200 million women worldwide, include pain and infertility. He also commended Cyprus for its contributions to the Worldwide Endomarch movement, applauding the country’s proactive stance, in spite of its small size.
Cyprus stands in solidarity with 70 other nations worldwide, with its message, “Let’s Talk About It”, amplifying the voices of women afflicted by endometriosis, and advocating for proper and quality treatment.
