Growing up in small town Northern Ontario when a concert came to town it usually meant a cover band or a performance by a local band playing someone else's songs. A rare exception to that rule was this one time when The Northern Pikes rolled into town, I figure I had to have been around 17 or 18 at the time and the show, to this day, was one of my favourite concerts growing up. Fast forward about 25 years to 2017 and the scene would repeat on a damp Saturday night in Renfrew, Ontario.

It's been a while now since Lucozade did the seemingly impossible and brought out a sugar free version of their glucose drink, and I must say I enjoy a Zero in orange or pink lemonade form when I'm trying to watch my calorie intake. Your Saturday Blogger returns after a two-week hiatus. Blackpool Supporters' Trust claimed my time and energies in the lead up to the end of the football season. The last time Charlie Palmer wrote for he produced two of the show's best all-time episodes, the season 3 two-parter "Human Nature"/ "The Family of Blood." It's seven seasons later, and he's finally back with "Oxygen," a bad-shit-happens-on-a-space-station thriller which pushes Bill to the brink of death on more than one occasion and robs The Doctor of the one thing he's never lost before. so, does it mean:
1. it is not kosher. but why mention it is pareve? might people care less that it is not kosher because it is not meat or milk?
2. maybe someone might eat not kosher food but would not eat non kosher meat with non kosher milk?
3. it is kosher but maybe someone wouldn't ...

I have been to many bonfires, including Litvishe, Israeli, American,. dati, chassidic, sefardic, etc. and it seems to me that pretty much the chassidim have their tradition of what to do and everyone else just stands around looking at the bonfire, talk with their friends sings for a few minutes and then roast marshmallows. For most non-hassidic communities, the bonfire is really just a nice social event.
