Benjamin Mendy, Man City (DF, £6.4m) Owned by: 15.8%Mendy’s appearances in this column so farthis season reads: buy, sell, buy. So it’s only fair that he gets his obligatory ‘sell’ recommendation once more.Following his unfortunate latest injury setback, the Frenchman skipped off back to Barcelona for BOGOF 2-for-1 treatment on his other knee, meaning the Manchester City man will be out for another considerable lay-off.This injury hokey cokey is a huge shame given that, when fit, Mendy is a tremendous fantasy asset–largely due to him channellinghis inner Georgi Kinkladze every time he takes to the pitch, spending more time in the opposition half than his own.Almost 250,000 managers have transferred him out ahead of Gameweek 13, yet amazingly he is still owned by more than 15% of all teams. One can only expect that those still with him in the team are still recovering from the enthralling Nations League, or simply they like his new silver hairdo – possibly another BOGOF special following Sergio Aguero’s similar life choice.Buy! Raul Jimenez, Wolves, £5.8mOwned by: 11.7%Much has been made of budget strikers this season, such as Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson or Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic. Both of these options would set you back £6.8m and £6.4m respectively now, though, so Wolves frontman Jimenez makes it into this week’s column based on a combination of form, price and fixtures.Next up for Wolves are fixtures against Huddersfield and Cardiff – a big opportunity to gain six points before Chelsea make their way to Molineux in GW15.The Mexican’s three goals and five assists put him in sixth overall for forwards in FPL game, averaging an attacking return every 122 minutes.Jimenez is the sort of player who will enable you to improve elsewhere in your squad, but can feasibly play when needed and be benched when not depending on fixtures. With the festive period fast approaching and games about to come thick and fast, it will be increasingly important to have an active bench to safeguard against the inevitable rotation that fixture congestion will cause.Hold!
