Northampton duo allege team-mates were racially abused in Nottingham

Northampton pair Timi Elsnik and David Buchanan have alleged some of their team-mates were racially abused at a hotel prior to their Sky Bet League Two clash at Notts County.The pair took to Twitter on Saturday night following the 2-2 draw at Meadow Lane to highlight the incident on the same day as two Championship clubs announced they would investigate claims of racist abuse towards players.Elsnik, on loan from Derby, wrote: Went for a pre match walk with the team in Nottingham and this young man outside the hotel started racially abusing some of our lads.Went for a pre match walk with the team in Nottingham and this young man outside the hotel started racially abusing some of our lads. He was identified at the time, removed from the ground and subsequently arrested.Brentford FC will continue to liaise with the Metropolitan Police, who will now investigate the incident.The club utterly condemns discrimination of any kind.
