Yeovil apologise on behalf of players photographed at bar following relegation

Yeovil have issued an apology on behalf of some of their players who were photographed on a night out on Saturday just hours after the Glovers were relegated.Photographs have emerged on social media of Yeovil players in a nightclub following the 2-2 draw against Northampton which brought an end to the clubs 16-year stay in the Football League.The images angered some Glovers supporters and Yeovil have offered an apology, saying the matter has been dealt with internally.A statement said: We feel its important that we apologise to the club and supporters. Given the context of Saturdays result at Northampton and the painful nature of relegation, it does not show any of us involved in a good light.As a collective group, we were left distraught with the consequences of Saturdays draw at Northampton and, in a bid to air our frustration, a small group of us made the naive decision to go to a bar. Whilst Im sure many can understand us wanting to unwind and temporarily forget about what had been a difficult day, the photos taken especially dont portray our intentions in the right manner and we can understand how it looks.
