Why We Love This Deal
Even though Amazon’s Big Spring sale is over, some deals are still live today, and they're worth checking out, especially if you’re on the hunt for new running shoes. Though the site is best known for generic-brand styles, it does have occasional steals from brands like Brooks and New Balance. Right now, there's also an iconic pair from Saucony on sale for over 40% off.
The Saucony Guide 18 Sneakers normally retail for $150, but this sale on Amazon brings the price down to $85. The most consistent pricing is for the Black/Lapis colorway featured here, but prices will still vary by size and color. They’re also on sale at REI for $97 with more consistent pricing.

What Shoppers Should Know
- Upper: Engineered mesh
- Midsole: Foam cushioning with Center Path Technology for stability
- Outsole: XT-900 carbon rubber
- Stability: Medium/high, a good pick for overpronators
- Best For: Running, training, walking
The Guide 18s are built on the overhaul that we saw in the previous version—the 17s ditched the old stability tech for the new Center Path Technology, making them more forgiving, especially for newcomers. The 18s keep that exact formula with a few tweaks to the upper, like a more snug midfoot, a slight arch adjustment, and a more spacious toe box, while maintaining that reliable stability.
Compared to the more neutral Ride 18s, the Guide 18s offer more stability, so if you overpronate or need extra guidance, the Guide lineup (hence the name) is probably for you.
These would be a great fit for anybody ready to move on from the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 24s or the Hoka Arahi 8. The Adrenaline GTS offers something similar, but Brooks' GuideRails physically cups both sides of the heel, making the shoe more supportive but heavier. The Arahi is also made for the same supportive daily trainer role, but with a firmer ride that doesn’t work as well with wider feet as the Guides do.
If you want the latest, the Guide 19s dropped last month for $150 with updated foam, but the 18s are still worth it, maybe more, at $85.

What Runners Are Saying
A runner who left a review after wearing these shoes for a while said, “They’re extremely comfortable and versatile enough for both everyday wear and running.” This same reviewer also wrote that “these shoes completely eliminated the calf pain I used to get when running” due to the extra support, and that they’re “very durable.”
Even though they’re extra supportive, they’re still lightweight and made for serious training: “I was able to immediately shave a full minute from my 5K time using these Saucony shoes versus my heavy shoes,” another said.
If your running shoes aren’t giving you enough support, the Saucony Guide 18s are a smart move at $85. Considering this is the only colorway with consistently low pricing, sizes will likely sell out soon, which means you should jump on this deal fast.
