Heroes is being rebooted with a new series!
The NBC series, which originally ran from 2006 to 2010, is getting a new installment in the form of Heroes: Eclipsed, from series creator Tim Kring, via Variety.
The series is set” years after the events of the original superhero series, as new evolved humans are discovering their powers.”
Casting details have not yet been revealed for the new series.
The original show starred Hayden Panettiere, Jack Coleman, Milo Ventimiglia, Masi Oka, Zachary Quinto, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Ali Larter, Adrian Pasdar and Greg Grunberg.
In 2015, there was also a limited series Heroes Reborn, with Jack reprising his role as Noah Bennet.
“I’ve always felt that the brand was elastic enough and a broad enough premise. It’s a show about ordinary people with extraordinary powers. It’s an indeterminate [amount of] people around the world and then they have to save the world. I feel confident that we can find more story to tell with some returning characters and new ones,” the creator said at the time, via Variety.
