Although meals will be given to students, they are advised to bring a bottle of water if possible.
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)-- Although Lafayette Parish schools will be reopening Thursday, a boil advisory has been issued for multiple schools.
The schools placed under advisory include:
- J. Wallace James Elementary School
- Carencro High School, Live Oak Elementary School
- J.W. Faulk Elementary
- School, David Thibodaux STEM Magnet Academy
- Evangeline Elementary School
- Acadian Middle School
- Northside High School
- Truman Elementary School
- Alice Boucher Elementary School
- Baranco Elementary School
- Ossun Elementary School (added 12:30 p.m. Thursday)
Water cannot be ingested until the advisory is lifted. The water system will still be functional and hand sanitizers will be available. Restrooms will be fully operational as well.
Although meals will be given to students, they are advised to bring a bottle of water if possible. Bottle water will be provided to those who do not have one, and filling stations will be accessible.
