Another severe weather risk today, turning cooler this weekend
More scattered showers and storms are expected in Acadiana this Friday as rain chances increase through the morning. Similar to earlier this week, a few heavy storms could contain damaging winds, tornadoes, and large hail. The severe threat should remain low for our area. Otherwise, the weather will be cloudy, warm, muggy, and breezy with temperatures staying in the 70s.
A cold front moves through Acadiana tonight leading to cooler, drier, and breezy weather over the weekend. Highs will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s with the 40s expected on Saturday night. Also, Daylight Saving Time starts on Sunday, so turn your clocks 1 hour forward Saturday night.
