Evangeline drug bust yields 2 lbs. of meth, 6 pot plants
The search led to the seizure of approximately 2.2 lbs. of methamphetamines, six marijuana plants, and $13,300 in cash.
EVANGELINE PARISH, La. (KLFY) -- A multi-agency investigation led to a major drug bust in Evangeline Parish, authorities said.
Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office narcotics agents along with St. Landry Sheriff Narcotics and Opelousas Police Department Narcotics conducted a lengthy drug investigation. As a result, Evangeline Parish Narcotic Agents and Allen Parish SWAT executed several search warrants on an undisclosed date at an undisclosed location.
The search led to the seizure of approximately 2.2 lbs. of methamphetamines, six marijuana plants, and $13,300 in cash.
Arrest warrants were secured for the following people:
Brandon Deshotel, 29, of Ville Platte was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses and possession of synthetic marijuana.
Jordan Lafleur, age and residence not released, was charged with cultivation of marijuana, transactions involving drug proceeds and conspiracy to distribute methamphetamines.
Dustin Sidwell, 37, of Mamou was charged with possession of methamphetamines and conspiracy to distribute methamphetamines.
