New Downtown Lafayette restaurant opens just in time for Festival International
Qin said Victoria's Cafe opened their eatery around this time because of the countless people who will be roaming the streets during the festival.
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)-- Restaurants in Downtown Lafayette are preparing for the huge numbers of this year's Festival International de Louisiane.
With Festival International just days away, News 10 spoke to a local restaurant about how they are preparing for the influx of customers.
Owned by Min-Li and Jun Qin, Victoria's Cafe opened their doors to the public last Saturday, with a variety of menu options including as American, Italian and Chinese foods.
Qin said Victoria's Cafe opened their eatery around this time because of the countless people who will be roaming the streets during the festival.
"That's why we opened around the festival time because we know that it's going to be busy in the streets," Quin said.
Qin said having the Festival International in Downtown Lafayette will be beneficial for everyone to learn about different cultures.
"It's very important since the economy is very diverse right now, especially in the U.S, and we're trying to share that around down south," Quin said.
The 38th Annual Festival International is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, April 24 at 6 p.m.
