Severe storms possible overnight Monday and early Tuesday morning
Most of today will be dry, breezy, and warm with highs in the middle 80s. We'll likely see our clouds increase ahead of our next best chance for rain. That looks to arrive late this evening and into the overnight with strong to severe storms possible. Our mostly likely timeframe to see the stronger storms may end up being after midnight and pre-dawn Tuesday. The greatest risk with these storms is hail, but strong wind and even an isolated tornado is not out of the question. Make sure you have multiple ways to receive warnings tonight to help wake you up just in case!
After the system moves through, we will be quite windy on Tuesday, but stay well above average in terms of temperatures. We'll be slightly cooler than over the weekend, though, with highs near 80°.
Noticeably cooler weather settles in by the end of the week as our winds shift out of the north and west for Wednesday and Thursday. We may see another chance for some rain by Thursday as another system passes through, as well. Highs by the weekend will likely be in the lower 60s with overnight lows back in the 30s!
