NSDC secretary paying working visit to Iran

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov is on a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran on Feb. 15-17 at the invitation of Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani to discuss problematic issues in the investigation of the Ukrainian plane crash.

According to the NSDC press service, on Sunday Danilov paid tribute to the Ukrainians who died on Jan. 8 in the plane crash of the Boeing-737-800 plane of the Ukrainian company of Ukraine International Airlines (UIA).

Danilov, along with Ambassador of Ukraine to Iran Serhiy Burdyliak laid flowers at the site of the tragedy of the Ukrainian plane.

Also, in memory of the victims, 11 candles were placed in the Vank Cathedral of the Holy Savior (the temple of the Armenian Apostolic Church).
