Zelensky instructs govt to work out preparation of ‘Presidential University’ project
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to start preparing a project to create a “Presidential University.”
Relevant presidential decree No. 217/2021 the issue of the Presidential University project was made public on the website of the head of state on Monday.
According to the presidential press service, Zelensky instructed the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to work out the preparation and implementation of the Presidential University project as a modern educational platform.
This, in turn, will ensure the availability of Ukrainian citizens to innovative educational models and learning strategies, effective use of educational infrastructure resources and coworking spaces for the implementation of educational, scientific and creative projects.
The educational platform will allow students to develop a concept for the implementation of the Presidential University project, taking into account modern trends in the development of education, science and technology, effective educational strategies for the formation of skills of critical, creative thinking, as well as organize material and financial support for the implementation of the project, including on the basis of public private partnership (PPP).
This decree was signed “in order to facilitate the creation of an innovative and progressive educational space aimed at introducing effective educational strategies to implement the intellectual and creative potential of Ukrainian citizens.”
The document comes into force on the day of its publication.
