Israeli commission pays visit to Egypt for discussions on Hamas detainee exchange
(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Jun. 30 Israeli media said in a report that an official Israeli commission is now on an official visit to Egypt for discussion on a prisoner exchange agreement between Tel Aviv and Palestinian resistance group Hamas.
Egypt is heading indirect conciliations between the Israeli administration and Hamas to reach a detainee swap accord, the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation.
Figures gathered by organizations on the rights of prisoners showed that a projected 4,500 Palestinian people are thought to be held in Israeli prisons, comprising 41 women, 140 minors, and 440 administrative prisoners.
Hamas has four Israelis, comprising two soldiers who were arrested in the 2014 Israeli attack on Gaza. Another two Israelis are thought to have been arrested by the Palestinian group after they entered Gaza under uncertain circumstances.
