TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- In their first league game of the season, the Shaker Blue Bison defeated defending Class A state champion Columbia 7-1.
Brendan McLoughlin led the Blue Bison offense going 2 for 3 at the plate hitting two home runs and tallying four RBIs. Red Maron, Tye Mariano, Tommy Case, Brayden Akley, and Sean Hurley recorded one RBI in the win.
Shaker advances to 1-0 in league play and 1-1 overall.
Ethan McGarry complimented the offense pitching six innings and giving up just four hits and one run.
Next, the Blue Bison will face Guilderland on Tuesday, April 6 at 4:15 PM.
