Crews respond to vacant house fire in Gloversville
Multiple crews responded to a vacant house fire at 60 Broad Street in Gloversville Monday night around 6:53. Gloversville Fire says no one was living in the home, there were no civilian injuries, and one firefighter suffered a minor leg injury but refused treatment at the scene.
GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Multiple crews responded to a vacant house fire at 60 Broad Street in Gloversville Monday night around 6:53. Gloversville Fire says no one was living in the home, there were no civilian injuries, and one firefighter suffered a minor leg injury but refused treatment at the scene.
Firefighters say heavy fire was venting from the first-floor windows and stretched to the second floor. The fire was brought under control, as the house suffered fire, smoke, and water damage on both floors.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. All units were back in service at 8:44 p.m.
