SOUTH EGREMONT, Mass. (NEWS10) -- The Old Mill, located at 53 Main Street in South Egremont, is closing its doors after 46 years. Owner Terry Moore made the announcement on the Old Mill website on April 3.
"In early June, after 46 glorious years, the Old Mill will close its doors," said Moore. "We have had an incredible run and I owe a huge debt of gratitude to the extremely dedicated staff that has worked alongside me all these years."
With the restaurant set to close, The Old Mill will be accepting reservations for parties of five to eight guests until April 30; then it will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Moore encourages anyone with an Old Mill gift certificate to use it before they close.
The Old Mill menu features oysters, steamed mussels, trout, chicken parmesan, strip steak, and more. The restaurant is open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday until it closes for good.
"I am humbled by the countless wonderful guests who have supported the restaurant," said Moore. "Your loyal patronage and embrace of our hospitality are the reason for our longevity and success and I thank you for your steadfast support. I truly hope your memories of the Old Mill, and the time you spent here with your family and friends, will last a lifetime."
