Saratoga County holding free Narcan training
Saratoga County is hosting a free Narcan training and distribution in the Halfmoon Town Hall on Monday. The training is from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and participants will learn the warning signs of opioid overdose, how to administer Narcan nasal spray, and opioid prevention methods.
HALFMOON, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Saratoga County will host a free Narcan training and distribution in the Halfmoon Town Hall on Monday, April 29. From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and participants will learn the warning signs of opioid overdose, how to administer Naloxone nasal spray, and opioid prevention methods.
After completing training, participants will get complimentary Narcan kits. They include two doses of Narcan, a rescue breathing face shield, a drug disposal system, mental health and substance use disorder resource guides, and a certificate of completion.
Halfmoon Town Supervisor Kevin Tollisen said officials are committed to the health and safety of the community. "I encourage every resident of Halfmoon to join us for this important session,” he said. "Let’s come together to learn, prepare, and protect our loved ones."
