New York State Police reported the arrest of two Albany residents following an alleged retail theft at Marshall's Home Goods in Clifton Park and a police pursuit.
CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- New York State Police reported the arrest of two Albany residents following an alleged retail theft at Marshall's Home Goods in Clifton Park and a police pursuit. The suspects, Zyara Howard, 22, and Unyia, 22, were arrested on April 26.
Charges
Howard:
- Fourth-degree grand larceny
- Fifth-degree conspiracy
White:
- Fourth-degree grand larceny
- Fifth-degree conspiracy
- Third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle
- Numerous vehicle and traffic law violations
Howard and White are accused of stealing more than $1,500 in merchandise from the Clifton Park business and then fleeing in a car. White was driving the car when she allegedly failed to comply with a traffic stop, leading to a police pursuit.
The pursuit was ended near Wolf Road in Colonie for safety concerns. The car was later found on Wolf Road stuck in traffic and the suspects were arrested.
Police say they found $1,500 worth of merchandise in the car that the suspects allegedly worked together to steal. Howard and White were processed and issued appearance tickets to return to Clifton Park Town Court before being released.
