Tyson Foods heir and executive John R. Tyson has pleaded not guilty to a charge of driving while intoxicated. A court spokeswoman said Tyson entered the plea Monday in Fayetteville District Court in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Tyson is next due in court on Aug. 28. Tyson, 34, was arrested June 13 by University of Arkansas police in Fayetteville after he was seen driving carelessly and making an illegal turn. A California men's prison is running on emergency generator power for a third day following a major electrical outage in the area over the weekend amid a heat wave. The University of Virginia has terminated a second campus fraternity after an investigation found stomach-turning hazing incidents earlier this year. The Theta Chi fraternity is the second at U.Va. to have its fraternity agreement terminated. Pi Kappa Alpha was terminated earlier this year. A report made public by the university earlier this month says two other fraternities, Sigma Alpha Mu and Pi Lambda Phi, remain under investigation. Supporters of a proposal to scale back Arkansas’ abortion ban are suing the state for rejecting the petitions they submitted to get the measure on the November ballot. From now on, the breed known for its connection to the island of Guernsey will have the special title of Royal Golden Guernsey Goat.
