President Joe Biden is postponing a planned trip to Germany and Angola to remain at the White House to monitor Hurricane Milton, which is bearing down on Florida’s Gulf Coast. A former New York City official was charged Tuesday with witness tampering and destroying evidence as a federal investigation led to Mayor Eric Adams’ bribery indictment. Federal prosecutors allege that Mohamed Bahi told a businessman and campaign donors to lie to the FBI in June. They also accuse him of deleting an encrypted messaging app from his cell phone as FBI agents searched his home in July. Prosecutors said Bahi had used the Signal app to communicate with Adams. An activist and municipal councilor for a Hungarian opposition party has disrupted a news conference in the French city of Strasbourg, France as Prime Minister Viktor Orbán laid out plans for Hungary’s presidency of the European Union. The activist interrupted Orbán as he spoke about his opposition to immigration on Tuesday. Qantas Airways has drawn up a stir after broadcasting a slightly-racy movie across an entire flight. And the Australian carrier now is apologizing to customers. According to Qantas, there were technical issues with the in-flight entertainment for a trip from Sydney to Haneda last week — making individual movie selection unavailable. Kentucky State Police say three crew members were killed when a medical helicopter crashed while heading to pick up a patient. The crash was reported Monday evening in Owenton near state Highway 22. Police say troopers determined that an Air Evac Lifeteam flight crashed, killing the three personnel aboard. They were identified by police as Gale Alleman, Bethany Aicken and James Welsh. The Supreme Court is hearing a challenge to a Biden administration regulation on ghost guns, the difficult-to-trace weapons with an exponentially increased link to crime in recent years. Tuesday's case is centered on gun kits that are sold online and can be assembled into a functioning weapon in less than 30 minutes.
