'If anyone gets sick, we’re ruined': SF restaurant that hosted COVID wedding party speaks out
Over the weekend of July 4, a San Francisco couple defied health orders to host an indoor wedding with nearly 100 guests at Saints Peter and Paul Church in North Beach, as first reported by the San Francisco Chronicle. Afterwards, at least 10 attendees, who had flown in from places as far way as Nashville, Arizona, and San Diego, tested positive for the coronavirus, including the newlywed couple. The night before, 40 wedding guests also congregated on the expansive outdoor patio at Harborview Restaurant and Bar, a dim sum restaurant at Embarcadero Center.
