The Nation's Weather
The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, February 6, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A massive storm continuing to push across the West today
will bring more rain and mountain snow to California, as
well as Nevada and Arizona. Even though the heaviest rain
will ease, the risk of mudslides and flash floods will
continue. Rain and drizzle will also expand northward into
the coastal Northwest. Part of southern Idaho will have some
rain and snow as a result of this storm. At the same time,
the Northeast, Midwest and the Plains will continue to be
dry as the result of high pressure remaining fixed over the
region. Areas along the Atlantic coast will remain breezy,
especially in the morning. Meanwhile, mild and warmer
conditions will push from central parts of the nation
southward into the Southeast as dry and breezy conditions
pick up in the wake of this past weekend's storm.
