Grains lower, Livestock mixed
CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were lower Friday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat for May fell 2.50 cents at $5.3125 a bushel; Mar. corn was off 3.50 cents at $4.2150 a bushel; May oats dropped 9.75 cents at $3.48 a bushel; while Mar. soybeans lost 6.50 cents at $11.4850 a bushel.
Beef was higher and pork was lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Apr. live cattle was up .28 cent at $1.8755 a pound; Mar. feeder cattle gained .08 cent at $2.5020 a pound; Apr. lean hogs lost .67 cent at $.8435 a pound.
