Trump pollster joins former president's campaign
Republican pollster Tony Fabrizio joined former President Trump’s campaign as a senior adviser, Fabrizio confirmed to The Hill.
The move allows the veteran pollster to directly communicate with the Trump campaign since he previously served as a strategist for MAGA Inc., an outside group backing the former president. He was unable to before due to stipulations preventing Super PACs from coordinating directly with the campaigns they are backing.
Fabrizio's move to the campaign side marks the Trump's team expansion heading into the general election in November, where he will likely face off in a rematch against President Biden.
He has been involved in the former president's political operations for years, being a lead pollster in both his 2016 and 2020 campaigns. Fabrizio also worked on other presidential candidates' campaigns like the late Sen. Bob Dole (R-Kan.) and current Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.).
Fabrizio has also advised the presumptive GOP nominee for two years, after Trump left the White House.
Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) called Fabrizio the “best” pollster out there who will be essential for boosting the Republican’s chances of winning in November.
“Tony Fabrizio is the best pollster in the business,” Blackburn said Tuesday on X, formerly known as Twitter. “He will be an essential asset to the Trump campaign and help the @GOP WIN BIG this November. There’s simply no one better than Tony.”
Politico first reported Fabrizio’s move to the campaign.
