Prominent cryptocurrency exchange Binance has apparently stumbled upon almost 10 million Stellar (XLM) tokens, worth $775,000 — you know, just laying around. According to a Binance blog post, the firm had been unknowingly receiving dividends for validating transactions on the Stellar network since August 31 2018. “Fast forward to this week, when we looked into the staking of Stellar for Binance.com, we discovered that we had already earned 9,500,000 XLM ($775,000 USD) worth of extra XLM tokens,” said Binance. It turns out that 48 kilometers (30 miles) is the maximum distance most dating app users are willing to travel for a chance to meet the love of their lives. Indeed, two-thirds of people (68 percent) are seeking partners within the borders of their own state, with a third of those unwilling to consider dating anyone outside of their neighborhood or city. Bitcoin’s market prowess grew by 10.4 percent during Q2 2019.  According to CoinGecko’s Quarterly Report for Q2 2019, the world’s most famous cryptocurrency increased its dominance from 54.6 percent to 65 percent during the specified time period. EOS and XRP were the biggest losers, losing nearly half of their market dominance. XRP fell from 9.8 percent to 5.7 percent, decreasing  by 4.1 percent overall. It seems Apple fans are finally shaking off the iPhone mania: compared to last year, fewer people are trading in their old iPhones for the latest models. iPhone retention this year is down 15.2 percent in contrast to March 2018, according to data CNET obtained from phone-swap service BankMyCell. A cybercriminal from Israel is facing a long list of felonies associated with the supposed theft of $1.7 million (6.1 million NIS) in various cryptocurrencies. The perp, 31-year old Eliyahu Gigi from Tel Aviv, reportedly stole Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dash from various foreigners, including Belgians, Dutch, and Germans, Israeli news reports. Researchers from Boston University (BU) have discovered a flaw in the Bluetooth communication protocol that could expose most devices to third-party tracking and leak identifiable data. In a letter to shareholders, Netflix‘s CEO, Reed Hastings, confirmed today that the company will launch a cheaper mobile-only subscription plan in India soon. In March, Netflix affirmed it’s testing a $3.50 plan for just phones in India.
