IBM Research today revealed a breakthrough nanotechnology technique that allows researchers to position individual atoms and control their quantum properties. This could be a watershed moment on the path to generally useful quantum computers. The research team developed the technique in order to build a quantum computing simulator. Google employees have accused the internet giant of creating an “internal surveillance tool” to monitor gatherings of more than 100 people with an intent to crush their attempts to organize protests. During Tesla’s quarterly earnings call, the company’s CEO, Elon Musk, said it could roll out its long-awaited full self-driving (FSD) mode in “early access” mode to select customers.
