Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani proposed tagging Muslims on the government's terrorist watch list as a means of tracking their movements, NJ.com reports. Giuliani, who advises Donald Trump on terrorism and national security, said of the proposal, "I would think that's an excellent idea. If you're on the terror watch list, I should know you're on the terror watch list. You're on there for a reason."

Donald Trump is backtracking on comments he made Wednesday in which he implored, "Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 [Hillary Clinton] emails that are missing." On Thursday morning, Trump said he was being sarcastic. "Of course I'm being sarcastic," he told Fox News' Brian Kilmeade. "But you have 33,000 emails deleted, and the real problem is what was said on those emails from the Democratic National Committee."

As the official Republican nominee, Donald Trump will be getting a briefing by the CIA and intelligence community in the coming days. Many have already expressed concerns that Trump, who is famously no-filter when speaking, might let slip national security secrets — and Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is so concerned he thinks the intel officials should give Trump an entirely fake briefing.

Facebook shares jumped by as much as eight percent in after-hours trading on Wednesday after the social media giant reported ad sales that smashed Wall Street expectations. Second quarter revenue increased by 59 percent to $6.44 billion, up from $4.04 billion in the same period last year. Analysts had forecast just $6 billion. One factor driving the gains was an increase in Facebook ads sold for high prices. Profits hit 71 cents a share, up from an expected 57 cents, and just 25 cents a share reported a year ago. Former President Bill Clinton did something Tuesday night that no other speakers at the Democratic convention have been able to do convincingly. Though the speech may have appeared to be addressed to Sanders voters and other progressives, he framed his arguments in a way subtly designed to appeal the working-class whites who are Donald Trump’s core voters. If Hillary Clinton wants to come out of the convention with a convincing lead, she should take heed of how he did it.

The Democratic delegates who have flooded Philadelphia this week for the Democratic National Convention are showing off their party pride much like sports fans show their team allegiance: with hats!

May and June offered America a great season of commencement speeches, and I've binge-watched every one of them. They're heartfelt, they're funny, and they offer great advice for kids going off to college. Dare to dream, be a disruptor, be kind, be resilient. By all means, grads, do those things.
