Dallas shooting suspect said he 'wanted to kill white people'

Before one of the Dallas shooting suspects was killed during a standoff with police, he said he was "upset" about Black Lives Matter, "the recent police shootings," and "white people," Dallas Police Chief David Brown said at a Friday morning press conference. The suspect stated that he "wanted to kill white people, especially white officers," Brown said, and that he was not "affiliated with any groups" and "did this alone."

Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings said Friday morning that officers used explosives to "blast him out" and that the suspect was "taken out" by an explosive device. Three other suspects have reportedly been taken into custody.
