Republican delegates loudly boo Ted Cruz for not endorsing Trump
Sen. Ted Cruz took the Republican National Convention stage Wednesday night to rousing applause, and the delegates and crowd in Quicken Loans Arena cheered some more when he began with "I want to congratulate Donald Trump for winning the nomination last night." But that was the only time Cruz mentioned Trump in his speech. Near the end, the audience began shouting "Endorse Trump!" — perhaps primed by earlier speaker Laura Ingraham.
Cruz smiled and said, "I appreciate the passion of the New York delegation," but the closest he got to calling for Trump's election was his call to "please, don't stay home in November," but to "vote your conscience," up and down the ticket. By the end of the speech, the crowd was booing.

Cruz called for party unity. There's still one night left of the convention.
