Indiana Senate candidate Evan Bayh's neighbors say he's basically never in Indiana

Indiana Democrat Evan Bayh has been accused of being out of touch with the state he hopes to represent in the Senate after this November's election. His Indiana voting status is reportedly inactive and after Bayh left the Senate for the first time in 2011, his permanent address was listed as Washington, D.C. And, well, there was that awkward moment last month when Bayh couldn't even remember his own Indiana address.

The Indianapolis Star decided to get right to the heart of the issue and interview Bayh's neighbors about possible Bayh sightings around his condominium complex on the north side of Indianapolis. Apparently the former senator does not go around borrowing much sugar: "I would not consider him really a resident," said neighbor George Landis. "I have not seen him around here, at least recently."

Another neighbor was shocked to hear she lived in the same condominiums as the former senator. "Evan Bayh lives next door? Are you serious? I never knew that, I didn't, I'm sorry. I've been over here three years and never knew he lived over here," said Patrice Rodgers. "I'm very surprised, that's very concerning."
