Virginia Supreme Court refuses to back Dem radical ideological redistricting
The state Supreme Court in Virginia has refused to back, at least immediately, a radical Democrat scheme to redistrict the state’s congressional districts to give 49% of the state’s residents, the Republicans, a whopping 9% of the state’s congressional delegation.
The 91% would all go to Democrats, according to their agenda. While the districts now are split 6-5 in favor of Democrats, the leftists are demanding a 10-1 split.
Voters approved the idea just days ago.
But it’s not taking effect right away, and the state Supreme Court has denied a motion by the state attorney general and others to impose an emergency stay of an order from a circuit court which concluded the legislature failed to abide by the state’s own constitution in adopting the scheme, so it is illegal.
“The court denies the motion,” said a statement from the court clerk.
It was Tazewell County Circuit Judge Jack Hurley who had blocked the Democrats, determining it was illegal on procedural grounds and that redistricting this way required following strict constitutional amendment procedures.

Reports revealed the high court decision effectively paused the Democrats’ agenda to control the congressional districts, after Hurley had blocked the state Board of Elections from certifying the results.
Elections expert and former state Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli said the court “DENIED the emergency request to stay the injunction of certification of last week’s Gerrymandering referendum!”
He said, “This is as positive a ‘tea leaf’ as one might imagine.”

It was current Virginia Attorney General Jay Jones who was unable to defend the vote during a recent interview.
The failure was noted by constitutional expert Jonathan Turley.
Jones, to CNN host Brianna Keilar, responded to a question whether Hurley, who disallowed the election, had “a point” that it was misleading.
It radically claimed that the Democrats’ agenda was to restore “fairness.”
“Jones went into an account of how the ‘yes side prevailed’ and called Hurley ‘an activist judge.’ Keilar reasonably followed up, noting, ‘I know that you’re calling him an activist judge, but he is citing the Virginia Constitution and legal experts that we’ve spoken to say what he’s saying is going to create some pretty big challenges for you in court that you will have to overcome.'”
She then asked the question again.
“Jones had that deer in the headlights look and went into a babbling spin: ‘Well, look, I’m really proud of Virginia. I believe the right to vote is sacred, not just as Virginians, but as Americans. This is the birthplace of democracy,'” Turley reported.
“I don’t hear you answering the substance of my question,” Keilar said.
