Cameroon fire Seedorf after Afcon 2019 knockout failure
July 17 – Clarence Seedorf has been dismissed as coach of Cameroon after a disappointing Africa Cup of Nations campaign with the Indomitable Lions ended in the round of 16 against West African rivals Nigeria.
On Tuesday Cameroon’s Sports Minister Narcisse Mouelle Kombi declared on state television CRTV that Seedorf would not continue as head coach of the 2017 African champions with immediate effect because “he is not fit for the job.”
