Yoshiki Takei takes part in media work out
Takei, along with trainer Akira Yaegashi and promoter Hideyuki Ohashi, spoke about the upcoming bout and his current condition. In regards to how he is, a relaxed and confident looking Takei explained that he's in great condition, that his weight is under control and that the next 3 weeks will be spent fine tuning. He explained that it's a big event and that Moloney is a strong champion, but that he is getting the best sparring of his life for the bout and it seems clear that he knows he needs to make marked improvements for this bout.
Yaegashi seems to be convinced that the training for this bout is working well, explaining that Takei is finally able to land 1-2's, and it seems clear that Yaegashi is polishing the natural skills and traits that Takei has, including his brutish punching power. It really does seem like Yaegashi is trying to add new facets to Takei’s fighting ability, rather than re-working the former kickboxer.
As for the actual work out, Takei showed off his shadow boxing, worked the punch bags and showed off the 1-2's, that had been mentioned by Yaegashi earlier in the event.
