President Muhammadu Buhari arrived in Daura, his hometown in Katsina state on Monday, August 20, for the Sallah celebration.
He was at the Daura Eid ground on Tuesday, August 21, to observe this year’s Eid-el-Kabir. Thousands also joined the president at the Eid ground for prayers.
A large crowd gathered around him as they sang his praises.

The president was later interviewed in his Daura residence after returning from Eid ground.

NAIJ.com earlier reported that President Buhari will be celebrating this year’s Eid-el Kabir with fellow kinsmen in his home town, Daura, Katsina state. The president on Monday, August 20, left the Presidential Villa, Abuja, for the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at about 3.06pm.

In his Sallah message posted on his official Twitter account (@MBuhari) on Tuesday, August 21, the president called on Nigerians to rise above personal interests and promote harmony in the nation.
He also vowed not to rest until the country is free from the ravages of corruption. He said his administration will not relent in its relent in its effort to build and secure a prosperous nation.
