One of the main events the Santa Venera External Festivities Committee organises is the exhibition related to Holy Week. It has been set up since 1985. On show this year will be around 220 crucifixes, part of a collection of Jesus Christ busts, and various old prayer cards related to the Passion of Christ. However, the main focus of the exhibition will be a collection of miniature statues by various artists, both Maltese and foreign. Mit dem Strafmaß entsprach Richter Volker Stronczyk am Mittwoch der Forderung der Staatsanwaltschaft, die in dem Angeklagten eine zentrale Figur bei der Planung und Ausführung des Mordes an einem 46-jährigen Albaner im Januar 2017 sah. Die Verteidigung hatte auf Freispruch plädiert. Auch der Angeklagte habe als Motiv Rache gehabt, ob es Blutrache gewesen sei, lasse sich nicht feststellen, so der Richter.
