Inside Ant and Dec’s homes as they host Saturday Night Takeaway from their sofas
ANT and Dec revealed their very plush living rooms tonight as they hosted Saturday Night Takeaway from their sofas tonight.
The show has been pre-recorded this weekend with the Geordie duo presenting the “best bits” of the series, but they kicked off the episode by welcoming viewers into their homes.
Ant McPartlin, 44, showed off children’s artwork on his blue walls as he hosted the show in his “comfies”.
While Declan Donnelly, also 44, look dapper in a full-blown suit as he told Ant: “Please go and put a suit on! Honestly can’t get the staff these days.”
And viewers loved the intimate setting, as one said on Twitter: “Kudos to @antanddec for doing it! Also setting a good example, that even they and their show abide by the orders.
Another said: “Cheers Lads, you both didn’t have to do the show tonight, But thank god you did, bring the nation laughter after uncertainty times ahead ”
And one more commented: “Ant & Dec presenting from their sofas! Even in times like these they’re still all up for making the nation smile #SaturdayNightTakeaway”
The Geordie duo hosted their final live show last weekend and revealed they would be filming the remaining episodes in advance.
Tonight they confirmed they would host the show from home, writing on Instagram: “That’s settled then.. this week we’ll be doing @itvtakeaway on the telly… from both our houses! (Suits for you at home are optional!) #SaturdayNightTakeaway #TogetherAtHome #StayHome”
Today In for a Penny presenter Stephen revealed further about details about what viewers can expect.
He told This Morning: “I think they’re doing the Best Bits. In fact I know they’re doing the Best Bits so they’ll be on from 7pm until 8pm and then from 8pm onwards In For a Penny will be on.
“It’s actually quite nice for a change to have Ant and Dec as my warm-up. I’ve not told them that yet, but now they’ll now.”
The coronvavirus pandemic has forced channels to halt production on TV’s biggest shows.
Ant lives and with his girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett in a £6million love-nest.
The Britain’s Got Talent star, 43, bought the seven-bed property a year ago and has been turning into their dream home.

Anne-Marie, also 43 — the former PA to Ant and his ex-wife Lisa Armstrong — moved in with her two children from her previous marriage.
A source said: “The property is perfect for them. It has everything they want and marks an important milestone in their relationship together.
“It’s close to parks and open spaces to walk labrador Hurley and is in a lovely area for the children.

“It’s not been easy to get here but they both view this house as a new start. It’s had lot of work done since they bought it and is now ready for them to move in to next month.”
The gated property is set back from the road and shielded by trees. It has five reception rooms, a cinema room and large office space.
The open-plan kitchen has twin ovens and leads into a beautiful dining room and a conservatory-style orangery overlooking the gardens.
Their master bedroom comes complete with walk-in wardrobe and leads into a large en-suite with a huge free-standing bath.
Ant and ex Lisa, 42, still own a £6million pad in West London.
She lives there and is said to have been offered it by Ant as part of any future divorce settlement.
They must also come to an agreement over custody of Hurley.
