CHOP THE COST: To get more shampoo and serum for less money, you need to do your research and find the best price per 100ml.

Search for a product to get the best price at the main supermarkets, as well as Boots and Superdrug.
You can get a 300ml bottle of Pantene Pro-V Silky & Glowing shampoo for half the price at Boots, £3, compared with Tesco’s £6.
Also look at sites such as Amazon and beautyoutlet.co.uk for offers and bulk buy deals.

CHANGE YOUR ROUTINE: If you wash your hair every day, switch to every other day to cut the cost of shampoo and conditioner in half.
Swapping to soap and conditioner bars instead of bottles should also reduce your costs, or decant liquid into bottles with a pump — you will use far less.
Look out for the best hair-care dupes.
Swap the cult Olaplex shampoo and conditioner, around £30 a bottle, for a cheaper alternative.
One of the favourites is Aldi’s Bonded range, £3.99 for 250ml.
DIY ’DO: Whip up some hair products at home.
To make locks shinier, mash an avocado and mix with a tablespoon each of olive oil and honey, and a dash of coconut milk.
