Speaker of Armenian Parliament and Kazakhstan Ambassador to Armenia discussed bilateral cooperation
ArmInfo.Armenian National Assembly Chairman Ara Babloyan met Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Armenia Timur Urazaev.
Welcoming the Ambassador in the Parliament, NA Speaker expressed hope
that Urazaev will continue his activity on development and deepening
relations between the two countries. He highly appreciated
Armenian-Kazakh friendly relations.
Speaker of the National Assembly spoke about the work on the
establishment of the Armenia-Kazakhstan Friendship Group in the
Parliament of 6th convocation and expressed confidence that it will
play a significant role in strengthening bilateral parliamentary
cooperation.
During the conversation, Babloyan stressed the role of parliamentary
diplomacy at international areas and assessed the work of Kazakh
colleagues in various structures - the CIS PA, the CSTO PA,
emphasizing the great potential in this area and the need for closer
interaction on issues of bilateral interest.
Babloyan highlighted the role of the EEU in the coordination and
development of economic relations between the two countries, the
implementation of joint programs.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Armenia congratulated Babloyan on his
election as NA Speaker and noted that Kazakhstan intends to develop
relations with Armenia in all spheres.
Urazaev also talked about April parliamentary elections in Armenia
and noted that the observers from Kazakhstan highly estimated the
organizational level of the elections. The Ambassador thanked the
members of Armenia-Kazakhstan friendship group of the previous
Parliament and expressed readiness to work with the newly formed
friendship group, discuss issues of mutual interest, and develop new
vectors for the development of cooperation.
