A new video essay asks the question - "British vs. American Comedy: What's the Difference?"

Comedy fans usually have a favorite when it comes to the distinct comic styles of Britain and America. But what exactly distinguishes the two? A new video from Now You See It attempts to get to the bottom of this question.

The NY Times has a fun piece today titled; The House That Love Built before it was Gone. It features three unique and notable homes built by people long ago for someone they had fallen passionately in love with. Frank Lloyd Wright, Eileen Gray, and Monica Vitti, were either those who designed and built them or the objects of the passion that inspired them. For each, their love affairs all ended in these homes, just 3 years after each had begun.

In an interview with Welt Am Sonntag, Wolfgang Schäuble (German Finance Minister) has confirmed that he made this speech hinting that the UK would be punished if it voted Brexit purely because George Osborne asked him to, and that Osborne wrote half his speech for him.

So that's one conspiracy theory on a sounder footing, I wonder whether all George's other mates will 'fess up.

Happy Fourth of July! This year with the fourth landing on a Monday, all of our parties and fireworks were on weekend. We were pretty busy the last weekend so, today will be nice just hanging out and relaxing on the day off. We attended two fabulous Fourth of July parties at my husband’s coworker’s home and my sisters. It was a really fun weekend party hopping and helping my sister decorate and cook for her barbecue.

I am still not sure what qualifies as a kiddush hashem, and conversely as a chilul hashem.

It seems that every time a Jew does something good, usually in public but not necessarily so, it is touted as a kiddush hashem, while every public bad act is touted as a chilul hashem. These concepts are relatively vague, like some others, and people put a lot of their own biases into determining when something qualifies or does not.
