Tiger Woods Crash: New Information is Coming
Sheriff John Budensiek is expected to speak with reporters at 5 p.m., but officials have yet to announce the location. According to a source at Martin County Fire Rescue, per CBS 12, "it was a two-car crash, one vehicle was a rollover. One person is stable, while another refused to go to the hospital. MCFR said there are no injuries to anyone."
As for what is known about his injuries, so far, his condition has not been made clear, and no reports have surfaced about his injuries. But, the good news is that according to a report from TMZ, a "witness saw Tiger on the scene and he appeared to be okay." So, according to that witness, Woods isn't too injured. Authorities say that crash was caused by excessive speed.
Woods, of course, was seriously hurt in another rollover crash that took place in 2021 in California. He "suffered significant leg injuries in a one-car crash in Southern California in which the vehicle rolled several times and left him trapped in the car," ESPN notes. "He later had surgery to deal with 'open fractures' to his lower right leg, had a rod placed in a tibia and had screws and pins inserted in his foot and ankle during emergency surgery."
The golfer also just returned as captain of Jupiter Links in the TGL indoor golf league following back surgery.
