Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch is out with a new book in which he says ordinary Americans are “getting whacked” by too many laws and regulations. Gorsuch said in an Associated Press interview that Americans' rights are threatened by the explosion of laws and regulations in recent decades. The book is called “Over Ruled: The Human Toll of Too Much Law” and it's being published Tuesday. Police in suburban Detroit say a 2-year-old child shot himself in his stomach while in the care of a babysitter who allegedly had unsecured guns at her house. Warren police say officers were sent to a home around 6 p.m. Saturday about the injured toddler. The child was taken to a hospital where he was listed in stable condition. An international aid group says it was forced to ration malnutrition treatment for children in a famine-hit area in Sudan's Darfur region because of a blockade imposed by a notorious paramilitary group on the area. Doctors Without Borders says the Rapid Support Forces have blocked three trucks carrying lifesaving medical supplies, including therapeutic food, for al-Fasher city and the nearby Zamzam camp where famine was confirmed last week. Tropical Storm Debby is strengthening as it moves through the Gulf of Mexico toward Florida. Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center said Sunday the storm has maximum sustained winds of 60 mph, up from 50 mph just a few hours ago.
