A Wyoming man with dementia who wandered away from home and hitchhiked to Salt Lake City is safe after his wife spotted him on the TV news. Ninety-one-year-old Michael Black ended up at a homeless shelter over 200 miles from the couple’s home in western Wyoming. A judge ruled that a Virginia man accused of killing his wife, whose body has still not been found, will go trial in September. Thirty-seven-year-old Naresh Bhatt of Manassas Park was indicted earlier this week on charges of murder and defiling the body of his wife, Mamta Kafle Bhatt. Shares of Eli Lilly climbed early Wednesday after the drugmaker detailed a study showing that its blockbuster weight-loss drug Zepbound helped patients shed more pounds than Wegovy from rival Novo Nordisk. Lilly said patients taking Zepbound lost about 20% of their weight on average compared to nearly 14% for Wegovy. The District of Columbia is alleging in a lawsuit that Amazon secretly stopped providing its fastest delivery service to residents of two predominantly Black neighborhoods in the city. Louisiana voters will decide the fates of four proposed amendments to the state constitution, in what will be the final statewide election of 2024. The measures on the ballot Saturday would change how state officials conduct oversight of judges, deliberate spending bills in the Legislature and deal with the properties of delinquent taxpayers. Legislators placed the measures on the ballot by unanimous or near-unanimous votes earlier this year. The ballot measures require a simple majority vote to become law.
