A report published today by security research firm VPNMentor suggests its team found 100GB of unsecured customer data from the French travel booking site Option Way. The database includes details such as names, email IDs, addresses, phone numbers, and travel details. The report noted these customers were mainly from France, Belgium, Switzerland, Algeria, and Australia. Craig Wright, the bloke who’s claimed to be Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto more times than we can count, has now blamed a hurricane for being unprepared to challenge a recent court order, CoinDesk reports. A phone thief that stole $15,000 worth of cryptocurrency has been caught after he mistakenly sent an apology email to a detective investigating the case, NJ.com reports. New Jersey man Darren Carter (29) is said to have swiped a Connecticut resident’s phone at a Californian airport in April. He then used it to siphon funds from the victim’s Coinbase account. XKCD forum, the bulletin board associated with the popular webcomic XKCD, has been taken offline after personal information of more than 562,000 members was exposed online. According to security researcher Troy Hunt, the breach occurred two months ago (on July 1 2019).
