Kansas City, Missouri — Some of the people who attended the near-record cold Kansas City Chiefs playoff game in January had to undergo amputations after suffering frostbite, a Missouri hospital said Friday. Research Medical Center didn't provide exact numbers but said in a statement that it treated dozens of people who had experienced frostbite during an 11-day cold snap in January. Al Miqdadiyah, Iraq — Iraqi forces have killed 10 jihadists during an operation against Islamic State group remnants in a vast desert area northwest of Baghdad, authorities said Sunday. ISLAMABAD — Police in Pakistan detained dozens of supporters of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan Sunday as they rallied nationwide to protest alleged voter fraud in recent general elections. Khan’s opposition party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, or PTI, said that the police action occurred in the country’s most populous province of Punjab and disrupted “peaceful” protests there. London — Police officers have arrested a man who crashed a car into the gates of Buckingham Palace in London over the weekend, authorities said Sunday.  The Metropolitan Police said the car "collided with the gates" of the royal residence at 2:30 am (0230 GMT) on Saturday.
