WARRIORS UPDATE: The Warriors are looking to snap a league-worst seven-game losing streak as they continue to have the NBA’s worst record (2-12). … Draymond Green has assumed point guard duties with D’Angelo Russell (thumb) expected to miss at least the next two weeks. … Rookie Eric Paschall had another solid game in the Warriors’ 108-100 loss to New Orleans. Paschall shot 10-of-17 and hit a pair of 3-pointers on his way to a team-high 30 points. … Backup point guard Ky Bowman also turned in an impressive effort in New Orleans, scoring 19 points in 28 minutes.
GRIZZLIES UPDATE: Rookie point guard Ja Morant from Murray State, the No. 2 overall pick in June’s draft, has been Memphis’ most exciting player thus far. He also leads the team in scoring (18.4 points per game) and assists (6.0). … The Grizzlies had their three-game winning streak snapped by the Nuggets on Sunday in a 131-114 loss. … Big man Jaren Jackson Jr., Memphis’ No. 1 pick last year, is averaging 14.5 points while making 38 percent of his 3-point attempts.
