Man United ready to do deal for Amad Diallo nxt month, four EPL clubs want him - report
Manchester United are ready to send attacking midfielder Amad Diallo out on loan during the January transfer window, according to Les Bons Conceil Du Sports editor Seb Ecrivain Foot.
The 21-year-old recently returned to training with the first-team after picking up a knee injury during the pre-season friendly against Arsenal in the United States of America back in July.
Diallo is yet to make it to the manager Erik ten Hag’s matchday squad, but he could be spending the second half of 2023-24 elsewhere temporarily, with Championship duo Sunderland and Southampton and Premier League quartet Everton, Fulham, Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers all interested in recruiting his services.
The Ivory Coast international spent last season on loan with Sunderland, and they are keen on having him back after he bagged 13 goals and three assists in 37 Championship games.
Diallo could be unavailable for Man United next month as his country could decide to call him up for the Africa Cup of Nations despite his lack of action since July.
Playing at the tournament would not stop him from going out on loan, and he could end up attracting more suitors if he impresses during the group stages of the competition.
Man United could also eventually decide to hold on to him if Ten Hag loves his performances should he make it to AFCON, and no outcome has been reached yet.
Diallo joined the Red Devils from Atalanta in January 2021, spending the second half of 2021-22 on loan with Rangers, where he bagged three goals in 13 games.
He has played just nine games for Man United and will be desperate to add to that tally, and they could do with such an attacker given the current struggles of their forwards.
However, moving to a club where he can get regular playing time could be more beneficial to his development, and another loan exit could benefit both parties.
