French supermarket giant Carrefour has activated the next phase of plans to “blockchainify” its produce. This time, it’s allowing buyers of its branded milk to trace its provenance with some neat distributed ledger tech. As of this month, Carrefour will commence rolling out Carrefour Quality Line (CQL) fresh micro-filtered full-fat milk in special bottles displaying QR-codes. QuadrigaCX, the Canadian cryptocurrency exchange embroiled in an ongoing mystery about the disappearance of $134 million in customers’ funds, has been granted an extension on its 30-day order for creditor protection. After a bevy of foldable smartphones made the headlines over the past few months, it looks like the next trend in handset design will bring back the flip-phone aesthetic from the 90s and early 2000s.
